The Brief
The "Sprout Branding Co." project aimed to create a branding style that was both professional and trendy, catering specifically to small business owners. The concept of 'Sprout' symbolized new beginnings and growth, appealing to the client's desire to represent freshness and vitality. However, achieving this without relying on the typical muted, natural colours often associated with such themes was challenging. The branding needed to balance these elements, presenting a modern and dynamic image while still conveying trust and professionalism.
The Why
To meet the client's requirements, the design incorporated a subtle leaf element in the logo to symbolize growth, aligning with the 'Sprout' concept. Instead of muted tones, a bold and vibrant colour palette was chosen to ensure the brand stood out and felt contemporary. The goal was to create a branding style that embodied energy and modernity, appealing to small businesses seeking a fresh and dynamic identity. This approach was intended to reflect the client's values and ambitions, ensuring the branding resonated with the target audience.
The Outcome
The final branding assets successfully conveyed the intended message of growth and modernity through bright, eye-catching colours and a subtle leaf motif. These elements helped balance professionalism and approachability, making the brand suitable for the small business market. Items such as business cards, tote bags, and marketing materials were designed to be engaging and memorable, providing a solid foundation for new startups to establish a strong brand presence. This project aligns with my design philosophy of creating impactful and affordable branding solutions that support the growth of small businesses from the outset.
